The Wise Learner - What's your story?
What's your story?
On Tuesday I spent a day in London at a Speaker's Conference and came home very inspired and fired up. One of the things that was emphasised greatly was that no one has to have loads of letters behind their name to be able or 'qualified' to help other people. Every person has gained life experience, has been through a rough time at some point or found something out the hard way. And the way you handled that, what you learned along the way and how it has changed you for the better is enough of a message to anyone else in this world who might be able to relate to your personal story, and who could take courage from it.
So today I'd like to invite you to appreciate what you know. I'd like you to think a minute about how far you've come, even if your situation is not quite what you want it to be like yet. I hope that you will appreciate yourself for who you are, as you are an experienced person who other people could learn from. Do you have a story other people could relate to and be inspired by?
Value yourself for who you are and what you know. Your life experience might be worth a million and make a world of difference to someone else. Your story could be the bright light in someone's darkness, the light at the end of the tunnel. Lights on, everyone!
